Living with disability in a remote community in the Torres Strait Islands
In September 2026, the Disability Dialogue travelled to Thursday Island/Waiben to meet the community and hear what it’s like to live in a remote area with disability. The Open Dialogue heard from Torres Strait Islander people with disability and their supporters, and was held in person on Thursday Island.
